This Scenic Byway is located North and outside Yellowstone National Park. I am going to have to put this in My personal top 3 drives so far. In about a 1 hour drive you go thru lot of climate and altitude changes that make the scenery continue to change as you drive. The photos we did take do not do it justice as we were really stunned by the beauty that we just enjoyed it and did not remember to take many photos.
Even saw some local natives riding a trail, As my Buddy Dan said when the Police pulled him over for driving the wrong way on a one way street. The Officer asked Dan did you see the Arrow? Dan replied ” buddy I didn’t even see the Indian” Oh come on!!! That was a good one and true I was there for it. Boy Tough crowd, moving on.
A valley on the route, no arrows.
Driving thru trees and then wham this cut in the mountain with lots of color in it. Professional photo shot
Then the colors on this rock got even more vibrant than the others we had seen. Yes as you can see in the photo we use nothing but the best possible equipment to get you these shots. Hey Baby stick your phone and arm out the window and get the shot!!! Did you get it? She says I have no idea Babe, I think so.
The drive was finished off with another of our fantastic Sunsets.
Okay, Just making sure you know that although I do not recommend driving a million miles to Yellowstone, If you are there you have to plan a day to drive the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway. Turns out a little research on it, of course after driving it, Many people rank it possibly one of the most Scenic Drives in the USA.
