Register Cliff – Guernsey, Wyoming – July 25th 2017

This photo is of a Rock that the pioneers would carve their name into the rock and leave messages for those that might follow. A living part of History you can see in the following Photos.

All these info panels really helped me to understand a part of what all this History meant to the pioneers and of course my Wife, Staci. She was all excited to see me learn about the Oregon Trail.

This tells a little bit of what was going on.

Staci assures me there is a name from a long time ago on here. Where I have no idea. But what is cool, is that people of a bygone era did leave their names on here.

Right next to Register Rock is a small monument to the Pony Express Riders. It had a very short existence but was neat to see that it ran right next to Register Rock.

Oh by the way, the ride over to Register Rock was pretty and you can see why they choose this area to stop and rest. I am never going to live down with Staci that I learned all these things about the Oregon Trail am I. Maybe she won’t read this Post.
