Banks Lake Adventure, Washington – June 25th 2017

This place is just above the upper Dam, at Grand Coulee Dam. Now we stayed in between the two dams and to be kind the landscape there makes the Moon look tropical. Now drive one mile up to the upper Dam and the landscape is a whole different Ball Game. Bank’s lake runs like 25 plus miles thru amazing canyons and rock formations. Now we asked around in town and at the RV Park on what to see while here and not one person directed us to this. It stunned us that we were directed to the closed down bowling alley, but not here. They need to get out more there.

Staci loved the Rock Formations in the cliffs right next to the Road and Lake. That is the road right next to the Lake at the bottom right of the photo. Oh yea we had a Washington Traffic jam when 1 car passed us on our Drive. Staci thinks there was more than that car, but hey we are quibbling over 1 to 2 cars for 25 miles people. No crowds is the correct answer.

Did we mention the road travels right next to the lake with unobstructed views almost the entire way. We Drove the entire length twice because we loved the ride so much. Go to the post of Keller Ferry and Drive to see the other side of where we stayed, full of nothing as far as the eye can see.
